About Me

I am just a regular girl/wife/mom/daughter/sister/friend.

I am married and have five children (1 daughter and 4 sons). My oldest is 13 and my youngest was born in July 2012. We live in the Southwest.

I started this blog to document my "new" life. Two years ago, if you had told me I would soon be a stay at home mom again with a baby I would have laughed. You see, in 2009 after deciding out family was complete I had the Essure procedure done. Three months later tests confirmed that my tubes were blocked. Our life was consumed with work and shuttling our busy kiddos to activities. Life was pretty uneventful. In October 2011 I became very ill. Everything I ate made me sick and I was just feeling pretty miserable. My husband said to me, "If I did not know any better, I would think you were pregnant." We both laughed. Well as it turns out I was unexpectedly expecting baby #5.

He looks a bit like Homer Simpson here, love it!

And so our new adventure began. Breastfeeding, babywearing, Pampers, car seats...I just never thought I would be thinking about those things again. But here I am, typing this as I nurse my sweet baby boy.

I decided to start blogging again, about my adventures in raising five children.

  1. Love this! Your youngest is close in age to my little guy--my guy was born in June. Looking forward to following along :))

  2. Do you mind me asking if they ever figured out how exactly you got pregnant with the essure? Were the coils ever a danger? I have essure as well and I have heard about all of the pregnancies popping up lately and wondered how
